REPORT: West Ham Leading Two Premier League Rivals In Battle To Sign Real Madrid Star

West Ham are the favourites to sign Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez in January, according to El Desmarques. The Spanish news outlet reports that the 28-year-old is resigned to leaving the Bernabeu with the Hammers his likeliest destination.

However, Manuel Pellegrini’s side may face competition from the likes of Wolves and Newcastle, who are also said to be keen on snapping up the Spaniard when the transfer window reopens.

Vazquez, who was also heavily linked with Arsenal in the summer, has made nine appearances for Real this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist, but his game time has been limited this campaign, with just four starts in La Liga.

It would be a surprise if the Irons are considering Vazquez as a January signing considering the number of wingers the club already have at their disposal.

Felipe Anderson, Andriy Yarmolenko, Roberto Snodgrass and Pablo Fornals can all play out wide, while Michail Antonio will also be available again after the international break.
