REPORT: West Ham, Arsenal And United Eye Belgian Defender With Contact Having Already Been Made

West Ham are among a host of Premier League clubs interested in signing Watford defender Christian Kabasele during the January transfer window, according to Le10 Sport.

The French publication reports that the Hammers have been joined by Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle who have all made contact about signing the 28-year-old this month.

Kabasele has been a regular first-team player since the appointment of Nigel Pearson as manager at Vicarage Road back in mid-December, having helped the Hornets keep three clean sheets in their last six league games.

The Belgian international is expected to sign a new three year contract extension with Watford but that hasn’t stopped teams taking a keen interest in the centre-back.

Kabasele has been at the Hornets for three and a half years, having signed from Racing Genk for £5.8m in 2016. He has gone on to make 88 appearances in all competitions for the Premier League outfit.
