REPORT: Declan Rice Makes ‘Final Decision’ On Which Club He Will Be Playing For Next Season

West Ham captain Declan Rice has opted to remain at the London Stadium for at least another season, according to The Mirror.

The English tabloid claims that the England international has made a “final decision” on his future, and he will not leave the Hammers, despite interest from Manchester United and Chelsea.

It is believed to be a decision that suits all parties. West Ham are determined to keep Rice for another twelve months, even though the player has refused to sign a contract extension.

The 23-year-old will have two years remaining on his current deal next summer, so the Irons will still be able to demand a sizeable fee even if the midfielder doesn’t commit his long-term future to the club before then.

For Rice, the options currently on the table are not particularly attractive. Chelsea’s ownership situation means they are not in a position to buy him, while United are not in the Champions League after finishing sixth. It seems, therefore, that the player’s immediate future lies with West Ham.
