REPORT: 3 Time Champions League Winner Joins Five Man Shortlist As West Ham Consider Pellegrini Axe

Former Real Madrid and Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is on a five-man shortlist to take over from Manuel Pellegrini at West Ham, according to the Daily Star.

The newspaper claims the Hammers are set to sack Pellegrini despite his team’s 1-0 win over Southampton last night, and the club are already considering replacements.

Ancelotti, who has also been linked with the Arsenal job, has won the Champions League three times (twice with AC Milan and once with Real). He has also won the Serie A title, the Premier League with Chelsea, Ligue One as PSG manager as well as the Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich.

The Italian isn’t the only name being considered, though, with former Everton manager Roberto Martinez also being targeted along with the likes of Eddie Howe, Chris Hughton and David Moyes.

It is believed that Pellegrini’s future will be decided in the next few days, with the club’s next game coming on Boxing Day against Crystal Palace.
