PL Rival ‘Confident’ Of Beating West Ham As Battle To Sign 25M Rated Chelsea Marksman Heats Up

Newcastle are “confident” that they can beat West Ham to the signature of Chelsea striker Armando Broja, according to the Northern Echo.

The two clubs are expected to be the frontrunners for the Albanian if he is made available for loan/transfer this summer.

It is believed that Blues boss Thomas Tuchel will assess Broja in pre-season before making a decision on whether to keep the player in his first-team plans for the upcoming campaign

However, the Northern Echo report there is only a “slight” chance that the 20-year-old will stay at Stamford Bridge, with a sale for between £20m to £25m likely to be on the cards.

West Ham have made Broja one of their top transfer targets but Newcastle, with their Saudi owners, believe they can better any offer that the Hammers could make for the player. It remains to be seen who will end up securing the forward’s services.
