Pastore edges closer to West Ham move

West Ham United are looking increasingly likely to complete the signing of Javier Pastore in the coming days after a series of reports claim he is now in advanced talks with the club.

Paris Saint-Germain are said to be happy for the midfielder to leave the club in order for them to comply with financial fair play regulations, and will ask for around £20m for his services.

West Ham are the favourites to sign Pastore, but the 28-year-old has attracted a lot of attention from clubs around the world, therefore Hammers will face strong competition to complete a move.

Pastore has been one of the finest midfielders around for many years, joining PSG from Palermo in 2011. However, he has struggled for game time in recent years, and with the Argentine only having one year left on his current contract at PSG, it seems a move away works for both parties.

Sky Sports report that new manager Manuel Pellegrini is aiming to sign up to five players this summer after promising the club’s fans an attacking revolution, and Pastore could be an excellent acquisition for the Hammers who are linked to a host of top-class players.
