‘Nothing Under £75m’ ‘Peanuts For A Player Of His Ability – Fans React To £35m Bid For West Ham Frontman

West Ham rejected a £35m bid from a Chinese Super League club for Marko Arnautovic, according to reports in the UK.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini was asked about the offer at today’s pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Arsenal this weekend.

The Hammers boss said that Arnautovic is an excellent player that the club to keep, although he stopped short of saying that the 29-year-old won’t be sold at any price:

“Those are all rumours. We know that we have a very good player in Marko, a lot of clubs may want him to play for them.”

“At the moment we have no news about him. He will have his head in the right place for the game against Arsenal.”

“Marko is a player of our team, players of his quality will be wanted by other clubs. I want to keep him of course, but you never know what might happen in the future.”

Fans on Twitter think the Austrian international shouldn’t be unless they receive a lot more for the forward:

Arnautovic’s agent and brother Danijel has mentioned interest from Chelsea and Everton in recent months, with the player having ambitions of playing in Europe. However, there has been no indication that the striker would consider a move to the Far East.

The Austrian has scored eight goals and provided two assists in 17 games so far this campaign for the Hammers.
