West Ham are continuing to keep tabs on Manchester United defender Phil Jones, according to reports in the English press.
The 29-year-old was linked with a switch to the London Stadium back in October, but his injury situation has meant that a move never looked like a realistic possibility.
Jones has spent the entire season sidelined with a knee problem and, combined with some of his performances in recent years, supporters on Twitter are very much against the Hammers following up their interest in the centre-back:
Not interested. Next

The guy that hasn’t played all season? Sounds like David Sullivan

David Moyes took a chance on Jesse Lingard and it paid off so it may simply be a case that the club believe they can get lucky once again.
Jones’ injury record is a major concern, though, and it’s likely any interest is restricted to bringing in the former England international on a loan deal. Even so, you have to think that there are better options on the market that West Ham could go after.
