Noble Reveals Some “Home Truths” Were Told In West Ham Dressing Room After Wolves Defeat

West Ham captain Mark Noble has said that he made his feelings very clear to his teammates following the club’s last Premier League defeat to Wolves.

The 31-year-old was on the bench for the 1-0 loss at the London Stadium, but that didn’t stop the midfielder heading into the changing room after the game to deliver his thoughts on the performance:

“I went into the dressing room after the game because a few home truths needed to be told. The effort and work-rate was nowhere near where it should have been. Sometimes it has to be said and that was one of those times.”

Four consecutive defeats at the start of the season have made it a very difficult start to life as Hammers boss for Manuel Pellegrini.

The Chilean helped to oversee a significant overhaul of the playing squad over the summer, but so far the £100m plus investment in new players has failed to provide any tangible improvements.

West Ham face Everton on Sunday afternoon at Goodison Park. Their opponent’s last result was a poor home draw against Huddersfield Town and Hammers fans will be hoping that the game will lead to the club getting their first points of the season.
