West Ham’s striker problems were brought to the fore once more following Michail Antonio’s absence against Manchester United on Tuesday due to injury. It has led to many supporters searching for potential solutions.
As the transfer window is closed, the only players available are those who are free agents and some fans on Twitter have been debating whether the club should snap up former Chelsea forward Diego Costa:

It is not surprising that Costa is a divisive choice. The 32-year-old has struggled with injuries and form in recent years, and his salary demands are thought to be extremely high.
Combined with the fact that he may need several weeks to get back to full fitness after having his contract terminated with Atletico Madrid last month, the Spaniard doesn’t really look like a good short-term fix. Whether manager David Moyes agrees with that assessment, we shall have to wait and see.
