Napoli Already Lining Up Osimhen Replacement With 35.5M West Ham Star In Their Sights

Napoli are considering West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca as a potential replacement for Victor Osimhen, according to reports in the Italian media.

Osimhen has been in red-hot form for the Serie A leaders, but he could be sold this summer, with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United pursuing his signature.

If he does leave Napoli, the Italian side have identified Scamacca as the man to fill the Nigerian international’s shoes. The 24-year-old only joined the Hammers from Sassuolo for £35.5m last year but his first season at the London Stadium has been difficult.

A troublesome knee injury has limited his game time in recent weeks, although he has been an unused substitute in West Ham’s last two league games.

With Danny Ings having arrived from Aston Villa during the January transfer window, there are question marks over Scamacca’s future, and it remains to be seen whether the Irons would be tempted to sell if Napoli do come calling at the end of the season.
