Moyes Keen On Recruiting 60M Rated England Star Who Is Also Being Pursued By 5 Other PL Clubs

West Ham manager David Moyes wants his club to make a move for Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse, according to reports in the English media.

The Saints captain has been in scintillating form this campaign, having racked up 10 goals and eight assists in 40 appearances, and Moyes sees him as a potential partner for Declan Rice in the middle of the park.

It won’t be easy to secure Ward-Prowse’s services, though. Not only did he sign a new contract last year, but he is also being pursued by a number of other Premier League teams.

The England international has been linked with Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle over the last month, and Southampton are unlikely to let him leave on the cheap.

There have been some claims that the south coast club would hold out for a fee in the region of £60m so we shall see if West Ham do press ahead with a move for Ward-Prowse.
