Moyes Has Set His Sights On 60M Rated Midfield Dynamo As Rice’s Successor

West Ham have made Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo their number one target to replace captain Declan Rice, according to reports in the English media.

The Hammers talisman is expected to leave the London Stadium at the end of the campaign and manager David Moyes has seemingly identified his replacement already.

Caicedo has impressed since breaking into Brighton’s first team at the back end of last season. He is a box-to-box midfielder who possesses a lot of energy and covers a lot of ground.

However, his performances haven’t gone unnoticed by other teams. Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle have all been linked with the Ecuadorian international in recent months.

Brighton are, therefore, unlikely to sell Caicedo on the cheap, with it being claimed that the Seagulls may hold out for as much as £60m. It means a sizeable portion of any fee that West Ham receive for Rice may have to be spent on recruiting his successor.
