West Ham have had a second bid of £30m rejected by Burnley for centre-back James Tarkowski, according to reports in the English media.
Earlier this week, the Hammers tabled their first offer which amounted to £23m upfront but it is thought that Sean Dyche’s side value the 27-year-old at £50m.
There have been conflicting reports over whether Tarkowski wants to move to the London Stadium. Some journalists have claimed the defender is pushing for the transfer as he believes he needs to leave Burnley in order to get back into the England squad. However, other sources suggest the player is not interested in moving back down south. Fans on Twitter think it may be best to move on to other targets:
He ain’t all that move on for crying out loud.

Such a stupid move
Joe Worrall Burnley’s replacement for Tark will cost 1/3 of the price and can use spare money for other players

They want £50m ? Fair play to them as it shows they don’t wanna loose him. If that was our board they’d let him for for £15M ?

Tarkowski is clearly West Ham boss David Moyes‘ top priority as he sees strengthening the defence as extremely important but it’s hard to see how the Irons match Burnley’s asking price. It may be wise, as some supporters say, to focus efforts on another player.
