West Ham captain Declan Rice didn’t make much of an impression during the 1-1 draw against Aston Villa at the weekend.
The 24-year-old’s recent performances have been rather disappointing and it has led to fans on Twitter asking whether the midfielder is already thinking about a potential move away from the Hammers:
Minds elsewhere…

It wasn’t the worst performance by Rice on Sunday. He was solid enough defensively but he failed to make the sort of impact you would expect from the club’s talisman.
Apart from a few threatening set pieces, the England international didn’t really cause Villa any problems going forward, and he could have even given a penalty away on Emi Buendia in the second half.
Clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United may be watching on thinking whether Rice is worth the nine-figure fee that West Ham are demanding but, from the Irons’ point of view, it will be hoped that he can up his game in upcoming fixtures.
