Manchester City V West Ham: Match Preview And Betting Odds

West Ham are starting a run of fixtures which will make or break their season. David Moyes’ side face a hugely difficult run of games which begins against Manchester City on Sunday.

The Citizens are coming into the encounter off the back of a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham but it must be said they were very unlucky to lose that match considering the number of chances they had.

In terms of team news, the Hammers will be without Felipe Anderson (back) and Andriy Yarmolenko (thigh) but both are expected to return after the winter break. Jack Wilshere (hernia) also remains unavailable.

City will be without Raheem Sterling who is out for two to three weeks with a hamstring problem. Leroy Sane (knee) is still not fit enough to feature, while Oleksandr Zinchenko is suspended after picking up two bookable offences against Spurs.

However, Aymeric Laporte (fatigue) and Benjamin Mendy (knock) should be back in contention after missing the matches versus Fulham, Manchester United and Tottenham.

The bookmakers have made City heavy favourites with Sky Bet pricing them at 1/9. A draw is currently 11/1 with Unibet while a victory for West Ham is 28/1 at Ladbrokes.

Predicted Score – 3-1 to City
