Lawrenson Predicts Who Will Come Out On Top Between West Ham And Cardiff Tomorrow

TV pundit Mark Lawrenson believes West Ham are a much-improved side based on their performances lately.

The Hammers have won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five games, moving them up to ninth in the league table.

Lawrenson thinks Manuel Pellegrin’s side are on an upward trajectory while their opponents tomorrow, Cardiff, are very much on the slide:

“West Ham are going very well at the moment. It helps that Manuel Lanzini is back from injury but a lot of their better players seem to have found some form.”

“The Hammers look good at the back too, and there seems to a be a much more settled and solid look about them now, compared with the way they started the season.”

“They have improved a lot, something that cannot be said about Cardiff in recent weeks.”

The former Liverpool defender thinks West Ham will come out on top at the Cardiff City Stadium tomorrow afternoon with a 2-0 win.

With Watford facing Manchester City away from home, and Wolves heading to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on Sunday, the Irons could close to within one point of seventh place this weekend.

Considering how poorly the London club started the season, with four defeats in a row, it would be a remarkable turnaround if they did manage to clinch a Europa League spot at the end of the season.
