Lawrenson Predicts Who Will Come Out On Top Between West Ham And Bournemouth

Mark Lawrenson is expecting West Ham to lose at Bournemouth tomorrow afternoon. The TV pundit says the fact that the Cherries are at home and playing well makes them favourites to get the three points:

“The Hammers have not won this fixture since the 2015-16 season, so how they do at Bournemouth will be a good indication of their progress. But Eddie Howe’s side are playing well and have got home advantage, so I am backing them to come out on top, just.”

The ex-Liverpool defender has gone for a 2-1 win for Eddie Howe’s team. That seems a surprise considering the Hammers have a good away record so far in the league.

A 1-1 draw at Brighton, a 3-1 win against Watford, and a 0-0 draw versus Aston Villa with ten men shows that the team is pretty decent defensively on the road.

Last season, West Ham succumbed to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, but you would expect this Irons team to be more of a threat in front of goal.

Back in January, Manuel Pellegrini’s side had most of the possession but only had one shot on target during the 90 minutes. They will be hoping for an improvement this weekend.
