Lawrenson Predicts Whether West Ham Will Get Back To Winning Ways Against Sheffield United

Mark Lawrenson is expecting a reaction from West Ham when they face Sheffield United at the London Stadium tomorrow afternoon. The Hammers have lost their last two games, but the BBC pundit believes it is simply part of the team’s makeup:

“West Ham have had a bit of a dip with their recent results, and they did not play well when they lost to Everton last weekend. That kind of inconsistency is just what West Ham seem to do, but maybe they won’t do it as many times this season…”

“Yes, West Ham are very up and down but when they play well at home, they are a very dangerous side.”

Lawrenson has gone for a 2-0 scoreline in favour of Manuel Pellegrini’s side. If they want to secure such a result, though, they will have to perform a lot better than they did against the Toffees last time out.

The game at Goodison Park was pretty one-sided and both the manager and the players were very unhappy with how they played after the match. They will be tested against Sheffield United.

The Blades have not lost away from home this season, having won against Everton and drawn at Chelsea. Chris Wilder’s men are also coming into the match after a confidence-boosting home win against Arsenal so the Irons will need to be at the top of their game.
