West Ham could have Lukasz Fabianski and Manuel Lanzini back for the game against Crystal Palace on Boxing Day, according to the Claret & Hugh.
The website claims that Fabianski, in particular, is “likely to return” earlier than expected from a hip injury that has kept him out of action since the 2-2 draw against Bournemouth back in September.
Lanzini’s participation is more touch and go, with the Argentinian still recovering from a dislocated shoulder he sustained in the 3-0 loss to Burnley in early November.
In terms of other injuries, David Martin is a major doubt for the game after picking up a thigh muscle injury when taking a goal kick against Southampton.
Jack Wilshere (groin) is ruled out, while Winston Reid continues to build up his fitness. When the New Zealander will be ready for the first-team squad, it remains to be seen.
Felipe Anderson should be available again after illness, but Ben Johnson suffered a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury, after limping off on his comeback for the Under 23s against Newcastle on Monday.
