Latest West Ham Injury News: Antonio Could Come Back Earlier Than Anticipated

West Ham winger Michail Antonio could be back in training within the “next few days” according to Claret & Hugh. It was expected that the 29-year-old would be back with the first-team squad at the end of the month, but he is making rapid progress in his recovery.

The forward has been out of action since August with a hamstring injury but it remains to be seen whether he will be available before the next international break. He had been pencilled in for a comeback against Spurs on 23rd November.

There is also more good news on Winston Reid. The defender is expected to line up for the Under 23s for the second time in a week. The 31-year-old played 64 minutes against Wolfsburg last Wednesday, and he is expected to be in the squad for the EFL Trophy match versus Exeter City’s senior side on Wednesday night.

Jack Wilshere remains a doubt with manager Manuel Pellegrini saying the midfielder is not 100% right following a groin problem. Lukasz Fabianski is on course to return from a hip injury in the New Year.
