Lanzini Starts And Fornals Misses Out: West Ham’s Predicted Line Up To Face Aston Villa

West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini may be glad that his team are playing on Monday as it will allow the likes of Manuel Lanzini and Fabian Balbuena time to recover after their long trips back from international duty.

With that being the case, the Hammers boss could well name an unchanged team to the one that won against Norwich City last time out at the London Stadium.

The defence kept their first clean sheet of the season versus the Canaries, and that looks even more impressive considering their last opponents went on to beat Manchester City 3-2 yesterday.

It is, therefore, expected that Ryan Fredericks, Issa Diop, Angelo Ogbonna and Arthur Masuaku will be in the backline tomorrow night.

The only change in midfield could be replacing Lanzini with Pablo Fornals if the Argentinian is not 100% fit following his trip back, but with a few days rest, the 26-year-old should be ok to start.

Up front, Andriy Yarmolenko and Sebastien Haller both got on the scoresheet against Norwich so they will likely keep their places, while Felipe Anderson will again line up on the left-wing.

West Ham’s Predicted XI To Face Aston Villa:

Fabianski, Fredericks, Diop, Ogbonna, Masuaku, Rice, Noble, Yarmolenko, Lanzini, Anderson, Haller
