West Ham winger Nathan Holland was in excellent form as the Hammers’ Under 23s came out 4-3 winners against Middlebrough yesterday evening.
The 21-year-old opened the scoring with a fine solo goal before laying on assists for Anthony Scully and Dan Kemp to turn around a 3-2 deficit in the second half. Supporters on Twitter are hoping that Holland will get his chance in the first team very soon:
At the game, Quality strike surely just a matter of time before he’s in first team

Still nowhere near our first team. Youth is definitely not pellegrini’s priority

Would be perfect replacement for Antonio whilst he is injured… surely couldn’t offer less than Yarma?

Holland could feature in the Carabao Cup against Oxford on Wednesday night, but it’s difficult to see where he will get game time in the league.
Manager Manuel Pellegrini has a wealth of talent on the wings, with Felipe Anderson, Andriy Yarmolenko, Pablo Fornals and Manuel Lanzini all able to play out wide.
The injury to Michail Antonio may offer Holland more hope that he’ll be included in some matchday squads but he may need to go out on loan in January as it’s clear that playing for Under 23s is not challenging enough for him.
