Journalist Confirms Wednesday Deadline Has Been Set As West Ham Wait On Deal To Sign 17M Rated Bundesliga Star

West Ham will know by Wednesday whether Eintracht Frankfurt wingback Filip Kostic will agree to move to the London Stadium, according to journalist Alfredo Pedulla.

The pretty reliable Italian reporter claims the Serbian international is waiting to see if Juventus or Inter Milan come in with an offer. If neither make a move soon then he will make the switch to the Hammers:

It has been suggested in the German media that Kostic was waiting for a team like Juve or Chelsea to make a bid for him and that he wasn’t interested in joining West Ham.

Pedulla has slightly different information which indicates a deal is still a possibility. The fact that the Irons are not the 29-year-old’s preferred destination, though, does raise questions over whether manager David Moyes should go through with the transfer.

The €20m (£17m) that Frankfurt are demanding for Kostic could be better spent on a player who is keener to join the London club.
