West Ham, Brighton, Southampton and Ajax have joined Manchester United in pursuing Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic, according to the Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor.
The Austrian international has less than a year left on his contract and Taylor claims a number of teams have held informal talks with the player’s agent about a transfer this summer:
In addition to Manchester United; West Ham, Brighton, Southampton & Ajax are among the clubs tracking Sasa Kalajdzic. Stuttgart looking for £16m-£20m. There have been loose discussions with his agent Sascha Empacher but no concrete proposals at this stage. #WHUFC #BHAFC #SaintsFC

Kalajdzic is very much a target man, standing at 6ft 6 tall, but he is also very capable with the ball at his feet, so it isn’t surprising that the Hammers are taking a look at him.
The 25-year-old was actually a target for Chelsea last summer, who considered him as a potential replacement for Olivier Giroud, so he is highly regarded by many in the game.
Even so, Kalajdzic is unlikely to be West Ham manager David Moyes’ first choice. The London club are still pursuing Armando Broja and the Albanian remains the top priority for the time being.
