‘A Real Force’ Pundit Praises West Ham United Star During Game Against Sheffield United

Former West Ham United star Tony Gale praised Hammers diamond Jarrod Bowen during commentary of their 2-0 victory against Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon.

The Irons comfortably dispatched the Blades at the London Stadium, winning by a score of 2-0 – Bowen scored the first goal of the game, with Tomas Soucek netting West Ham’s second.

Bowen was the Hammers’ standout player on the day – not only did he put in a tireless, high energy performance, he also caused Sheffield United’s backline no end of trouble with his intelligent runs and deft ball control.

Gale played for West Ham between the years of 1984 and 1994 – during this time, he made 300 league appearances for the Hammers, scoring five goals.

What did Gale say regarding West Ham United’s Jarrod Bowen?

Speaking on World Feed’s commentary of the match, Gale said: “If he gets a few games in the team he’ll be a real force for England. He’s got a good work rate, good work ethic about defending as well, great all-round player.

“West Ham will do really well, maybe, to hold on to him, maybe next season I think the bigger clubs will be coming in for him [in the transfer window].”

Should Jarrod Bowen be a regular starter for England?

Jarrod Bowen currently has four England caps under his belt, with his first game for the Three Lions coming in a 1-0 loss against Hungary. As things stand, he has yet to score a goal on the international stage.

It is easy to say that Bowen deserves to be a more integral cog in the England machine – but as things stand, England have a stronger selection of talents than they have had in an awfully long time.

On the right wing, Bowen must contend with players such as Bukayo Saka, Jack Grealish and Phil Foden for that coveted spot in the senior team.

With Declan Rice having departed the club to join Arsenal in the summer, Bowen has stepped up to the plate and has succeeded him as the Hammers’ star player. It is an enormous responsibility for the 26-year-old – but so far, he is shouldering it with confident ease.
