West Ham have slapped a £150m price tag on midfielder Declan Rice, according to reports in the English media.
The valuation has sparked a lot of debate among supporters of other clubs, but Hammers fans on Twitter believe there are a number of good reasons why the England international is worth that much:
It's more than fair, the kid is only going to get better and he's already amongst the best midfielders in the world

It pretty much comes down to how important Rice is to West Ham. He is the club’s best player and that means that, if any team wants to buy him, they will have to pay through the nose to get him.
Manchester United and Chelsea (even with their problems) are believed to be the 23-year-old’s main suitors, but his asking price could well put them off from making a move.
If it does stop them from going after Rice, the sky-high valuation will have done its job, but we shall have to wait and see how things play out over the summer.
