West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek has admitted he is flattered to be linked with other clubs but he is very happy to stay at the London Stadium.
Reports in recent months have suggested that Bayern Munich are interested in him while, over the past few days, there have been claims that Manchester United are scouting him. However, Soucek says he is currently not looking to leave the Hammers:
“I’m at peace in West Ham and I’m enjoying the time here. But it’s definitely nice to read or hear [these rumours], it gives me strength for matches and I’m happy for that. I’m not dealing with such offers yet.”
It is believed that United are looking for a potential replacement for Nemanja Matic and they have identified Soucek as a possible option, but West Ham fans will be delighted by his comments that he is keen to stay put.
The Czech international has been in superb form for the Irons this campaign, having scored an impressive eight goals in 23 league appearances. Manager David Moyes will be looking to keep hold of one of his key players, who only joined on a permanent basis from Slavia Prague in the summer.
