Insider source ExWHUemployee has questioned remarks made by the Daily Telegraph journalist Matt Law that West Ham may consider offers in the region of £60m for Declan Rice.
Law pretty much writes exclusively about Chelsea these days, and while ExWHUemployee says the reporter is pretty reliable, he feels his assessment of Rice’s asking price is wide of the mark:

Supporters on Twitter also agree £60m would be too little, although some are concerned that the club’s owners will do a deal for below Rice’s reported £100m valuation:

Anyone else get the feeling Sullivan has been itching to sell Rice for some time. Whether it’s 60 or 80m you’ve got to fear the majority will end up in Sully junior’s trust fund. I reckon Sully wants to cash in on Rice before he sells up as he intends to court offers shortly ??♂️

With Chelsea focusing most of their attention on signing a new striker, you would have to think they won’t have the resources to spend big on two players this summer.
If that is the case, you’d suspect that they may still try and offer players, such as Tammy Abraham, in a deal for Rice. Were that to happen, you would assume such a proposal would be rejected as the Hammers are thought to be looking for a cash-only bid.
