“It Is Crazy” Declan Rice Addresses Possibility Of 100M Summer Transfer

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice has said even he can’t get his head around the fact that he could be worth £100m.

Hammers boss David Moyes has said on more than one occasion that the England international is worth nine figures and, when asked about the valuation, the midfielder replied:

“You hear those numbers and for me it is crazy. All I can do is go out there and perform, regardless of the price tag. I just need to focus on playing well and performing at the best level I can.”

Rice has been linked with Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City in recent months but West Ham are in a good position to keep hold of the player.

While Rice has expressed his keenness to play in the Champions League, the Irons are still in with a chance of qualifying for the competition by finishing in the top four this season.

With the 23-year-old’s contract at the London Stadium set to run until 2024, with an option for an extra year, there is no pressure to sell, and if any team does make an approach this summer, they will have to break the bank to sign him.
