West Ham are weighing up a potential loan offer for Arsenal centre-back Calum Chambers, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Manager David Moyes wants to strengthen his options at centre-half and right-back and the Gunners star is capable of playing in both positions, making him an attractive target.
The Hammers moved to a 3-4-3 formation in their defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday, and Chambers could be a good fit to play in the right-sided centre-back role, but fans on Twitter are divided on whether he’d be a good acquisition:
100% for this, ideal for our formation last night.

Idk about this one but it would give us depth in the centre back role for the 3 atb formation

Hahaha I called this a week ago, a typical narrow minded signing.

It is important to point out that Chambers is still recovering from a serious knee injury that he picked up in December last year. The 25-year-old is expected to return to full training next month but his lack of match sharpness would mean he would need many weeks to get up to full speed.
It’s likely that he is one of a number of names that West Ham have added to their shortlist of targets, as they look to strengthen the squad before deadline day.
