The Player With The Highest Transfer Value At Every Premier League Club (Part 3)

Erling Haaland celebrating after winning the FA Cup

Today, we continue our series of articles looking at the players with the highest transfer value at all 20 Premier League teams.

After going through our second five last week, we will now move on to our third set of stars.

For these posts, we have taken our information from the CIES Football Observatory who have come up with a model that gauges the value of the world’s top footballers.

Press the next page as we list the most valuable players at Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle.

Leicester City – Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (€30m)

Technically, the Foxes are no longer a Premier League team but we will still class them as one for this list.

Dewsbury-Hall is, surprisingly, their most valuable player, despite Leicester having the likes of James Maddison and Harvey Barnes in their ranks.

The midfielder has established himself as a regular starter since returning from a loan spell at Luton Town a couple of years ago.

Whether Dewsbury-Hall will remain with his current team in the Championship or whether he will be picked up by a Premier League side, we shall have to wait and see.

Liverpool – Darwin Nunez (€80m)

The Uruguayan was signed for an initial £64m, with the fee rising to £85m based on bonuses, so it is not a surprise that he is the Reds’ most valuable player.

However, Nunez’s first season in England was somewhat disappointing, scoring only 15 times in all competitions.

Manager Jurgen Klopp also rarely picked him during the run-in, which does raise concerns about whether the German sees him as the right fit for his team.

Fans of the Merseyside club will be hoping that Nunez improves on his finishing in front of goal during his second campaign.

Manchester City – Erling Haaland (€200m)

The Citizens snapped up the Norwegian for a bargain last summer, triggering his £51m release clause.

Haaland has broken nearly every goal record in his first season in English football, having scored 36 times for City in the league alone.

In all competitions, the striker has bagged an astonishing 52 goals; a figure he could better if he hits the back of the net in the Champions League final.

At 22 years of age, it’s scary to think that Haaland could improve in future seasons. The rest of the Premier League better beware.

Manchester United – Bruno Fernandes (€80m)

While the Portuguese international has had his ups and downs over the past couple of seasons, there is no doubting his importance to the Red Devils.

Fernandes is the Manchester club’s main playmaker and, without him, they do struggle to create goals.

14 goals and 15 assists this season is certainly a very decent return and manager Erik ten Hag will be keen to add players around him who can match his quality on the ball.

At 28, Fernandes is also hitting his prime, so don’t expect him to let up next season.

Newcastle – Alexander Isak (€50m)

The Magpies have got themselves a gem in the Swedish international. While he has had his fair share of injury problems during his first season in England, he performed exceptionally well when fit.

Isak has the athleticism, strength and power to be a real force in English football, and you do feel that Newcastle were right to break their transfer record to snap him up.

His mazy run and assist in the 4-1 win over Everton in April showed off the 23-year-old’s supreme technical ability and incredible talent.

The forward will be looking to build on his 10 Premier League goals next campaign.
