‘He’s Got Loads Of Quality’ Noble Backs West Ham Teammate To Help Revive Club’s Form

West Ham captain Mark Noble has backed teammate Robert Snodgrass to play a key role in helping the Hammers’ get back to winning ways following his performance against Sheffield United.

The 32-year-old was recalled to the side for the 1-1 draw last weekend and got on the scoresheet, and Noble believes the Scottish winger has the talent to help the team reinvigorate their season:

“Snoddy was really good last week on his return to the team, but nobody should have been surprised by that. When he plays regularly, his hard work is taken for granted but, when he comes back in after a break, it seems to shock people. It shouldn’t. He’s a top player, he’s got loads of quality and he is capable of that sort of performance every week.”

Snodgrass performed very well last week and, considering the poor form of the likes of Manuel Lanzini, Pablo Fornals and Felipe Anderson, the Scot’s contribution was badly needed.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini is likely to keep Snodgrass in the team when they face Newcastle today. It is a game that the home side is expected to win considering the Magpies’ struggles this campaign.

However, the Irons have been poor in front of goal in their last three games and they’ll need to improve in attacking areas to get all three points this afternoon.
