West Ham are expected to reignite their pursuit of Manchester United captain Harry Maguire this summer, according to reports in the UK.
The Hammers were keen on snapping up the England international, who has been capped 55 times, in January but he stayed at Old Trafford.
However, with Maguire keen on leaving the Red Devils to get more first-team football, a switch to the London Stadium could be on the cards. Fans on Twitter are split on whether the defender would be a good addition to the squad:
Heβs a total liability, surely anyone can see that, no, no, no!

Fans turning their noses to Maguire, he'll Craig 2.0 for Moyes, right the type of player he likes.

People don't realise how good he'd be for us..
We play a low block so his pace isn't poor and his range of passing in space is good.
He's also best defensively in a low block which is why he's poor in Uniteds recent tactics.
Also a major set piece threat.
Would love this signing.— Aguerd's Agent (@AguerdsAgent) May 17, 2023

Heβs got a big head and we play pretty deep under Moyes, could actually be a banger

It’s fair to say that Maguire has had a difficult couple of years. Mistakes have crept into his game and, at 30 years of age, he isn’t getting any younger.
Even so, manager David Moyes may feel that he could be a suitable replacement for Craig Dawson who left for Wolves at the start of this year. We shall see whether West Ham do step up their interest in the coming weeks.
