West Ham are interested in signing Norwich City playmaker Emiliano Buendia, according to reports in the English media.
The Canaries star has performed well in the Premier League this season, having provided seven assists in 30 appearances for Daniel Farke’s side.
Most supporters on Twitter would back the Hammers’ move for Buendia if they opt to make a formal bid for the Argentine at the end of the season:
he is magic, get him signed up

What a signing that would be if we stay up, give them Lanzini for him.

Would be a quality replacement for Lanzini

Manuel Lanzini’s poor form this campaign means a replacement could be needed and Buendia certainly fits the criteria considering how creative he is.
The 23-year-old may not provide much of a direct threat on goal (he has not scored this season), but his ability to fashion chances for his teammate would make him a valuable asset.
Considering Norwich are unlikely to demand an exorbitant fee for Buendia either, it does seem like it would be a sensible transfer. We shall have to wait and see if West Ham follow up their interest.
