West Ham have had a second offer worth €30m (£25m) rejected for Lille midfielder Amadou Onana, according to journalist Dharmesh Sheth.
The Sky Sports reporter says the Hammers are now considering “other options”, although they haven’t ruled out making another bid for the Belgian international in the future:
Had it confirmed West Ham United have had a second bid rejected by Lille for midfielder Amadou Onana. The offer was believed to be around €30m. While West Ham haven’t closed the door on pursuing the player, it is thought they are looking at other options. #AmadouOnana #WHUFC https://t.co/UCSRCwFSlG

Depending on what reports you read, Lille are demanding anything between €40m and €60m for Onana so it does seem as if West Ham have been priced out of a move for the 20-year-old.
Other Premier League teams, including Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle, have also been linked with Onana and it has been suggested that Lille are banking on a bidding war between rival clubs.
However, if no other official proposals arrive for Belgian, it may be the case that West Ham make a move later in the transfer window, hoping that Lille could compromise and agree to sell for below their current valuation.
