West Ham have offered to sign Roma winger Nicolo Zaniolo on loan with an obligation to buy, according to reports in the Italian media.
The 23-year-old is expected to leave the Giallorossi this month, with the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal having also been linked with the player.
However, Zaniolo’s price tag is believed to be €40m (£35m) and fans on Twitter are divided on whether the Hammers stand a chance of securing the Italian’s services:

It does seem like Roma are prepared to sell Zaniolo to anyone, as long as they meet the player’s valuation. The winger has less than eighteen months left on his contract and the Serie A side are keen to raise funds from his sale.
Considering West Ham have already splashed out on Danny Ings, and have been heavily linked with Lorient’s Terem Moffi, it’s not a surprise that they can only afford to loan Zaniolo, but it is unlikely to be an offer that will be acceptable to Roma.
