West Ham will be looking to bring in a striker when the January transfer window, but a player still hasn’t emerged as the number one target for Hammers boss David Moyes.
Anthony Martial is getting limited game time at Manchester United and some supporters on Twitter have been debating whether the London club should take a chance on the France international:
Get him in. Very underrated player who plays an almost impossible shift for United

Got so much potential tbf – Moyes could hopefully work on him. (Then go back to Man Utd a superstar breaking our hearts)

Yes and it shouldn’t be a debate. We’re desperate for a striker one that can help Antonio and martial is a decent player. Let’s remember the lingard situation. Less pressure and martial would flourish in this squad

On loan 1000%

definitely yes if moyes thinks he can put in the workrate and the wages aren’t astronomical. there’s a reason he was the most expensive teenager ever at one point

No, lazy and ridiculous wages

There is a feeling that there is some untapped potential in Martial and you would think Moyes would be perfectly suited to getting the most out of him.
However, there would be question marks about whether he could lead the line. He is not as physically strong as Michail Antonio and his work rate has also been questioned.
If Martial is available on loan (or for a reasonable price) in the New Year, the 25-year-old could be worth considering as the Irons look to strengthen their forward options for the second half of the season.
