West Ham have failed to persuade Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri into making the switch to the London Stadium, according to ExWHUEmployee.
The insider claims that an agreement was reached to sign the Moroccan international on loan with an obligation to buy, but the forward was not keen on joining the Hammers.
Supporters on Twitter are glad that En-Nesyri has decided against the transfer, as they prefer to have players who want to play for the club:
Forget this guy and get Breteton Diaz

Only west ham that struggle to sign Youssef for about 4 seasons straight then finally manage to get a deal done when the player don’t even want to come 🤣🤣

Good, rather have a player that wants to play for us.

Here we go again, waste 3 weeks on this end up with nobody. Why are we so bad at identifying the right players!?

Not worth it. If he doesn’t want to come don’t force him. Should go all out for Moffi or go for Brereton Diaz

Steer well clear don’t want players who don’t want to be here

As some fans have also pointed out, En-Nesyri has very much been a one-season wonder up until now. He bagged 24 goals in all competitions during the 2020/21 campaign but he has struggled to score since then.
The 25-year-old has failed to find the back of the net in La Liga so far this season, and you do feel that there was a good chance of him being a flop if he had agreed a move to England.
