Ferdinand Makes Relegation Prediction That West Ham Fans Will Love

BT Sport pundit Rio Ferdinand says he expects West Ham to remain in the Premier League next season. With the current campaign having been suspended due to the pandemic, there has been a debate over when the remaining fixtures will be played.

However, Ferdinand doesn’t think that the season will be able to be completed, and he has backed Hammers vice-chairman Karren Brady in saying that it may be ruled null and void:

“I actually don’t think anyone will get relegated this season, because I think the season will be voided. Everyone who was in the Premier League last season I think will remain.”

Of course, there is a lot that will need to happen before the Premier League make such a drastic decision. At the moment, all games are postponed until April 30th, with the current aim to get the season finished by June 30th.

However, with the situation in regards to the outbreak changing all the time, there is no telling where things will be in a months time. If the restart continues to be delayed then discussions may well have to be held about what happens next, but fans shouldn’t take too much from Ferdinand’s comments at the moment.
