Felipe Anderson nears club record move to West Ham

West Ham United are close to completing the signing of winger Felipe Anderson from Lazio.

The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move to the London Stadium all summer, with only the excessive fee quoted by the Serie A side posing as a stumbling block.

However, it seems the two clubs have now agreed on a fee in the region of £35m for the winger, making him the most expensive player at the club if the deal pulls through.

The 25-year-old is expected to complete a medical with the Hammers on Friday, and a deal could be announced at the weekend.

It is understood Anderson has agreed personal terms with West Ham, and that all the formalities have been completed other than a medical

Anderson has been a star performer at Lazio since he joined back in 2013. He was linked with a move to Manchester United two season’s ago, but now it seems that the Hammers have their man.

The winger will become West Ham’s sixth signing of the summer so far, following the additions of Andriy Yarmolenko, Jack Wilshere, Ryan Fredericks, Lukasz Fabianski and Issa Diop.

It’s been a hugely busy, but successful window for the Hammers so far. And it doesn’t seem like they’re anywhere near done with their business yet – with plenty more players heavily linked with moves to the club.
