Felipe Anderson admits he is working hard to adapt to the Premier League

West Ham United record signing Felipe Anderson has admitted he is having to work harder than ever in order to adapt to the different style of football that is played in England.

Having been a star player for Lazio in Italy, Anderson made his £40m mega move to the Hammers this summer, where he has become one of the most exciting stars to ever join the club.

He made his debut during West Ham’s 4-0 defeat to Liverpool, a tough game to begin your campaign in. But the Brazilian has not let that experience get the better of him, and has insisted he is training harder than ever in order to get used to the intensity that the Premier League demands.

Speaking exclusively to West Ham United’s official website, Anderson admitted that he has found it hard to adjust to the Premier League after getting his first taste of action against Liverpool, but promises to do all he can to improve.

“We knew that the [Liverpool] match was going to be very hard, as their attack is really fast and they score a lot of goals, I always wanted to play in the Premier League.

“It’s a league in which teams like to have the ball and are constantly attacking and thank God now I have the chance to be here, so I’m working hard to adapt as quickly as possible and give my best effort.”

Anderson will face a slightly less daunting task this weekend as the Hammers face Bournemouth at home.
