West Ham are close to signing Brentford winger Said Benrahma after a problem relating to a loyalty payment owed to the player by the Bees was resolved, according to reports.
The Hammers had agreed to pay £25m, plus £5m in add-ons, for the Algerian international but there had been fears that the deal would be called off due to the issues that had been encountered.
However, it is thought that Benrahma will now be announced as a West Ham player before the domestic transfer window closes on Friday. Most supporters on Twitter are happy about the deal but a few are not so sure:
Fantastic deal, he’s quality, and a grafter

Is this a Moyes or Sullivan signing ? Can't see Moyes fancying this type of player at all.

With Felipe Anderson having departed on loan for Porto, there is room for another option on the left-wing but it is hardly an area of the pitch where the Irons are short of players.
Manager David Moyes would probably prefer to strengthen up front but, with a deal for Bournemouth’s Joshua King looking unlikely, it appears he will have to be satisfied with the three signings of Benrahma, Craig Dawson and Vladimir Coufal.
