Fabrizio Romano Rates Declan Rice’s Chances Of Moving To Chelsea Or United This Summer

There is very “little chance” of West Ham midfielder Declan Rice leaving the London Stadium this summer, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Writing in his column for CaughtOffside.com, the Italian journalist says neither Chelsea nor Manchester United have the “kind of money required to sign” the 23-year-old:

Romano predicts that Rice will stay at the Hammers for at least one more year, which is not a surprising development, considering the London club’s £150m valuation.

The England international will have only twelve months remaining on his contract next year, but West Ham will likely trigger their option to extend it for a further season.

Even so, if Rice is still unwilling to sign a renewal, a decision will have to be made then on whether to sell him, as his value will begin to depreciate soon after.

Fans will be hoping that the Irons’ upcoming campaign will be a successful one so that it could persuade Rice into staying for longer.
