ExWHUemployee Claims West Ham Are Targeting Former United Target As Haller’s Replacement

West Ham are considering whether to make a move for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, according to insider ExWHUemployee.

The Hammers have reportedly agreed to sell Sebastien Haller to Ajax for a fee rising to £22.6m and they could well use the proceeds from the Ivorian’s sale to sign the former Celtic player.

Manchester United and Chelsea have both been linked with Dembele over the past eighteen months but the 24-year-old has been struggling for form this season, which has subsequently led to his valuation dropping.

The former France Under 21 international has only scored one goal in 16 appearances for Lyon since August, but it must be pointed out that he has only started six league games in total.

Previous campaigns suggest West Ham would be getting a prolific scorer if they were to secure the signing of Dembele. He scored 21 goals during his first season with Lyon and followed that up last campaign with 24 in all competitions.
