ExWHUemployee Claims Chelsea Ace Is ‘Tempted’ By West Ham Switch With Declan Rice Playing A Key Role

Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham is “tempted” to make a switch to West Ham this summer, according to ExWHUemployee.

The insider source says the 23-year-old has a number of friends in the Hammers squad, including Declan Rice, and that could help facilitate a move before the transfer window closes:

“Tammy Abraham is worth noting. He hasn’t joined anyone yet despite strong interest from Aston Villa.  Apparently, Abraham is keen on a move to West Ham, he likes Declan Rice and a few other players in the squad and obviously, he’s a London boy. I think he’s tempted to come to West Ham and obviously [David] Moyes likes him a lot, so we might see some movement on that in the next few weeks.”

As Ex points out, even though there is interest from Aston Villa, there have been reports recently that the Midlands club have pulled out from making a formal offer, leaving West Ham with a clear run to snap up Abraham.

However, the main obstacle is still believed to be the asking price. Chelsea are reportedly holding out for £40m and, with it being claimed that the Irons won’t go any higher than £30m, it remains to be seen whether a compromise can be worked out.

Negotiations are likely to be long and arduous so don’t expect any movement on a deal for Abraham in the near future.
