Lazio head coach Maurizio Sarri is being targeted by West Ham and a whole host of other clubs, according to Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24.com).

The Hammers, Tottenham, Everton, AC Milan and Fiorentina are all keen on hiring the former Chelsea manager, but he has also received a lucrative proposal from the Middle East.

It is believed that Sarri was offered around €7m (£6.6m) a year to take charge of an unnamed team in the United Arab Emirates but he rejected the deal.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito is determined to keep the 64-year-old at the Stadio Olimpico, with the Serie A club currently sitting third in the table. A contract extension is expected to be offered to ward off West Ham and other teams.

Whether the Irons are actually pursuing Sarri, we shall have to wait and see. Manager David Moyes’ future is still the subject of a lot of speculation and we shall see how things develop in the coming days and weeks.
