Enquiries Made For West Ham Defender But Player Is Committed To Staying, Agent Claims

West Ham left-back Arthur Masuaku has been the subject of interest from other clubs, according to the Congolese international’s agent.

Panos Galariotis has confirmed that he has received enquiries from a number of teams but the player is happy to play under manager Manuel Pellegrini at the Hammers:

“It’s true, I received a lot of calls, but Arthur is happy at West Ham and has been convinced by the arrival of Pellegrini that they will have a great season.”

Masuaku has started eight out of 12 Premier League games since the Chilean boss’s arrival at the London Stadium, although the defender has lost his place to Aaron Cresswell in recent games.

The fullback was an unused substitute in the last two matches against Burnley and Huddersfield Town, with Cresswell having taken his place after struggling with injuries in the opening couple of months of the campaign.

Masuaku’s last start came against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup fourth-round defeat at the end of last month. The 25-year-old will be hoping to break back into the side when West Ham face Manchester City at home on Saturday.
