West Ham have had a £6m offer for West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone rejected, according to reports in the English media.
The former Manchester United player has one year left on his contract but the Baggies are believed to be demanding in excess of £10m for the 28-year-old.
Supporters on Twitter are decidedly unimpressed with the Hammers’ proposal for Johnstone but they are not surprised that the club have made such a low bid:

It remains to be seen whether David Moyes’ side will go back in with another offer. The London club are also said to be considering a move for Alphonse Areola but, so far, no agreement has been reached with Paris Saint-Germain either.
Johnstone, meanwhile, is also being targeted by Arsenal so West Ham will need to make an improved bid for the England international to avoid the risk of missing out on one of their main targets.
