West Ham are preparing a “multiyear” contract offer for Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette, according to TEAMtalk.
The Hammers believe they have a strong hand in negotiations, as they can offer a longer contract than the Gunners, whilst the player also is keen on staying in the Premier League.
There was a mixed reaction to the reports on Twitter with some fans thinking a move for Lacazette is a good idea, while others are not as convinced:
Decent striker option tbh

Lacazette is out of contract in June so he will be on the market but there will be competition to secure his services, with the likes of Lyon, Inter, AC Milan and Aston Villa also interested in signing the 30-year-old.
Manager David Moyes does, though, usually tend to target young players who have the potential to develop their games, but the availability of Lacazette on a free does make him a very tempting prospect, especially with the Irons lacking options up front.
